Comment: One of the high points of the GA, this comic has the first appearance of Phantom Lady and Plastic Man (in a great story, beautifully drawn). Several other stories have high quality, often vividly intense graphics, with many fine cityscapes and beautiful sedans zooming through them. The Firebrand story had particularly vivid art, second only to the Plastic Man's (although the character himself, however well drawn, is a tad silly looking in his gossamer shirt and red kerchief). Phantom Lady's artwork was perhaps not entirely up to snuff but she herself had a strange and compelling beauty, and of course her black ray adds visual interest. The colors on this scan are very rich.
