Comment: According to my old WORLD ENCYCLOPEDIA OF COMICS, Roy Crane invented the adventure strip with WASH TUBBS in 1924, with the pseudonymous Captain Easy (real name: Billy Lee) added to the cast in 1929. And the rest is history. I devoured CAPT EASY strips in the 1950s and 60s. I look forward to devouring this book!
