When Natch gets in trouble in class too many times Principal Thorndyke pays a visit to his parents, unfortunately, Edgar has been cleaning his attic and finds an old love letter from Georgie Thorndyke saying that one day he will return to carry Emma away with him.
Natch gets a postcard from Judy Farrell with a picture of the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. The picture gives Jackson the idea that they should have footprints in the sidewalk in front of the Sweet Tooth.
Edgar gets the bright idea that he will change around the living room furniture as a surprise for Emma while she is out. Things go from bad to worse when Emma calls to say that she is on her way home and she is bringing Mrs. Vandergold with her for a visit.
